Qualifying Cup 1932-33

Inverness Thistle's first victory in the Qualifying Cup came in season 1932-33. This was the second season that the Qualifying Cup had been run as the Qualifying Cup (North). In the first round Thistle beat Forres Mechanics 4-2 at Kingsmills Park. In the second round they were drawn at home again this time overcoming Wick Academy 4-1. In the third round the club received a bye before being awarded a third home tie against local rivals and cup holders Citadel in the fourth round. They emerged winners by 5 goals to 2. In the semi-finals Thistle were drawn away to Fraserburgh and they managed to grind out a 1-0 victory at Bellsea Park. In the final Thistle met Penicuik Athletic at Borough Briggs and emerged winners in a high-scoring thriller by the odd goal in seven.
